According to The National Association of Realtors, the total existing-home sales increased by 5.2% in February and mild weather appears to be responsible for some of the gain. Weather conditions across most of the country were unseasonably milder in January and February and likely were a factor in higher levels of buyer activity. There is signs of stabilization in the market now as a result of the sales rebound, home sales should level-out in the months ahead. Housing is returning to a normal market, where annual home prices will rise a little faster than the the overall rate of inflation, this is what we expect for the foreseeable future. The price appreciation has yet to cool significantly.
